Le Quatuor Leonis was created in 2004 by former students of the CNSMD of Lyon and Paris and has developed a peculiar relationship with other forms of theater art. In residence at Théâtre de l’Aquarium, the Quatuor Leonis has accompanied the work of Olivier Py at the Odéon-Théâtre de l’Europe for several years. Winner of several classical music competitions including the Geneva Competition (2006), it nonetheless enjoys expanding its field of creation to include contemporary music and jazz, with the constant concern of rethinking music’s position on stage and in its relationship to the public. The Quatuor Leonis has played in France at the Théâtre du Châtelet, the Salle Pleyel, the Berlioz Festival of the Côte Saint-André, etc., as well as abroad, in the United States, Italy, Japan, Germany, Serbia, etc..
